The world is often split into different regions. An analysis of the Country Similarity Index suggests that there are nine unique regions of the world. However, the lines between these regions can sometimes be somewhat blurry. Some nations exhibit traits of more than one region.

Europe / Central Asia Regions

Armenia has many characteristics of countries in Central Asia. Since Armenia and most Central Asian countries were both part of the Soviet Union, they have many traits in common. Furthermore, Armenia’s landscape is especially reminiscent of Central Asian countries as well.
